About Us

Career Transitions opened its doors in 1981, beginning as a Displaced Homemaker Program called Women in Transition. This original program offered a 5-week training plan that provided women with the transferable skills needed to help them re-enter the workforce. in 1989, Women in Transition changed its name to Career Transitions to ensure that these training programs and opportunities could be provided to everyone who was trying to overcome employment barriers, especially individuals with children.

Over the years, Career Transitions has added an array of short-term training and community development programs. We currently offer Career Coaching and essential education programs, High School Equivalency prep and training, Commercial Driver’s License training, CPR/First Aid training, and Certified Nursing Assistant training. Uniquely, we also operate the Gallatin Valley Farmers’ Market, which is held Saturday mornings throughout the summer at the Gallatin County fairgrounds.

Career Transitions envisions a community where individuals and families can overcome barriers to their own self-sufficiency through gaining personalized support, connections to community resources and most importantly to education and training. We strive to empower individuals and families to reach their full potential.
