Workforce Center Services:
Career Assessments/Counseling:
We offer a variety of assessment tools to explore skills, interests and match
to job goals, training and career paths. These include: Math and English
evaluation, reading evaluation (FREE Literacy tutoring available)
interest, values, and aptitude inventories, Meyers-Briggs personality profile,
and the STRONG interest profile. Staff has expert knowledge and experience
utilizing our comprehensive tests and assessments to determine barriers and
employment strengths and weaknesses.

- Job Readiness/Computer Literacy:

- This 105 hour class covers skills such as: Goal Setting, Stress
Management, Self Esteem. Time Management, Transitional Finance,
Written and Verbal Communications, Interviewing, Applications, Resume, Cover
Letters, and Basic Computer Literacy.

- Computer & Office Skills Training:

- Computer literacy, advanced software training, internet basics, office
etiquette, and soft skills.

Occupations/Entrepreneurship:

Small Business Development/Incubation and training.

- Resource Center:

- Computers, typewriters, and resource materials are available for
job searching, resume writing, and job applications. Career Transitions
staff is knowledgeable about community services available to meet job
seekers needs and make appropriate referrals.
